Today I learnt: the secret to success is a pop-up business card

Wow, what a douche. A funny, funny douche. Almost an Alan Partridge quality to him. His website is almost as good as his business cards.

Today I learnt: what a mono-monostatic object is

It's a Gomboc and it'll cost you €900.

"Why!?" you exclaim.

Because it's the world's first self-righting object.

Yep, you can flip this bad-boy anyway you want and it'll always end up standing in the same way.

"Isn't that a Weeble!?" I hear you shout.

No it isn't! A Weeble is weighted at the bottom whereas a Gomboc has even density throughout.

I want to see a building made of one. Dubai, that is my gift to you.

Today I learnt: there are hours (maybe minutes) of fun to be had with post-it notes

What do you do when you've got way to much time on your hands and you've screwed up the office supplies order, receiving 30,000 post-it notes instead of 300?

Obviously this.

Oh and the picture above is actually a table designed by Tom Seymour made from 5000 sheets of paper, made to look like a giant post-it note pad. It's pretty damn cool and will only set you back £700.

I'd probably use it up in the first day.

Today I learnt: the internet is scary/fun

The internet is a scary place because of sites like pipl.com.

But it is also fun to stalk people.

Type in a few names and see which of your friends are paedophiles-in-hiding!

Today I learnt: you're never too old to plummet from a plane (unless you're older than 97)

A 97-year-old man from Dorset is believed to have become Britain's oldest skydiver after jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft (3,048m).

Man, I hope I'm still up for jumping out of a plane when I'm 97 instead of rotting alone and cripplingly arthritic in stale urine, unloved and abandoned.

Just think of all that flapping skin.

Video of the momentous jump here.

Today I learnt: television is redundant

Who still watches TV!?

Cavemen.

Surfthechannel.com lets you watch pretty much anything, anytime you want.

Say bye-bye to your life!

Today I learnt: pretty screensaving

Screensavers should be something to look forward to.

They should be a spectacle of dazzling colour to rouse you from the gormless 5 minutes you've been staring at your computer without touching your mouse.

Now they are:

(Warning: the 'plasma tunnel' one is likely to consume you).
